Head onto the world's largest sand island via the Inksip Point ferry service. Travel the sandy highway to a freshwater creek for morning tea, keeping an eye out for wild life.
We then journey into the centre of the island to magnificent Lake McKenzie, the jewel of the island. Enjoy a swim, relax on the white sand or take advantage of the many photo opportunities! Whatever you choose to do, this lake is sure to be a highlight.
Enjoy a picnic style lunch as a group and then venture deep into the rain forest. Begin the walk with a guide, hearing about the island and it's history. To fully appreciate this forest and it's giant trees, extend your walk with the self-guided option further along into Pile Valley, where our guide will be waiting at the other end to collect you.
Conclude your journey with another trip down the beach highway and another opportunity to spot sea life or dingoes before taking the ferry back to the mainland.
Return to your Rainbow Beach meeting point around 3.30pm.
