Get up close to Uluru on two wheels and cycle the pathway around the base of this amazing monolith. Enjoy the freedom to explore the world’s most iconic rock formation at your own pace and with the whole family.
The 15 kilometre self-guided cycling adventure is a unique way to experience Uluru. The journey can easily be made within three hours. Stop and see the ancient rock art and wondrous waterholes along the way.
Your experience begins with transfers from your hotel at Ayers Rock Resort to Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park. Outback Cycling provides bicycle hire from its mobile bike shop based at Uluru-Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre. You’ll find a wide range of bicycles available to suit all ages including toddler seat options and tag-a-longs.
Make sure to wear appropriate clothing for bike riding and pack your water bottle and sunscreen. Once you have finished your ride, you are free to explore the Uluru-Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre before taking the bus back to Ayers Rock Resort.
